We’ve committed $1 million

15 APRIL 2020

We’ve committed $1 million to support our Australian communities

We’ve committed $1 million to support the local communities surrounding our Australian operations in the fight against COVID-19.

South32 Community Manager Meredith Gibbons said: “During this challenging time, we can make the biggest difference by working together.”

“As always, we stand with our communities and we’re committed to playing our part as Australia responds to COVID-19,” she said.

The funds will be distributed between three organisations, The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), Foodbank and Lifeline, to assist people living in regional and remote areas and provide mental health services and essential supplies to those that need it most.

The contribution will help;

  • RFDS boost their essential service and improve healthcare for regional and remote communities;
  • Foodbank continue to provide a reliable supply of food and groceries to those who need it most; and
  • Lifeline respond effectively to people who need their support and help save lives.
