Strong leadership plays a critical role in shaping how we work, from safety and performance to the culture we create together.
To support this, we’ve expanded our LEADership Development Suite with two new programs – the LEADership Mastery Program (LMP) and the LEADership Extension Program (LEP).
Chief Human Resources Officer Katie Tovich said the new programs are part of a broader focus on lifting leadership capability across the business.
“Programs like LEADership Mastery and LEADership Extension help our leaders keep building the skills they need to support their teams.”
We have partnered with external consultants to develop, design and deliver our programs that focus on real challenges, practical tools and learning from each other.
Chief Executive Officer Graham Kerr said building leadership capability is key to how we deliver and grow as a business.
“We know that continued investment in uplifting leadership capability is key to shaping a safety-focused, high-performance, and values-based organisation. These programs are designed to support our leaders to realise their potential and make a genuine difference.”
Sessions were held earlier this year in Perth, at Worsley Alumina and in Johannesburg, with a wide range of participants from across our global business.
Participants said the programs gave them space to connect with peers, reflect on their leadership, and think differently about how they lead.
They valued learning new tools, hearing different perspectives and building authentic relationships across the business.
As a global business with a diverse portfolio, South32 is a great place to learn, develop and thrive. Whatever career path you choose, we’ll support you every step of the way to learn, grow and succeed.
