Responding to community concerns is important to us
Community perception survey in Australia
We understand that our operations can have a pretty significant impact on the communities we work in, so we make an effort to learn what issues concern people, and ensure we address them.
In 2017, we conducted a wide-ranging survey across Australia, aimed at finding out what matters to individual communities, and comparing the answers across all of our operations. People told us they’re not sure how sustainable the economic contributions we make to their communities are, and that they care about the possible environmental impacts of our operations. They also told us they’d like us to communicate better on these issues.
That’s the kind of feedback we can act on, and we look forward to addressing these and other issues raised in the survey, and communicating them clearly to our local communities.
