New playground a treat for kids

12 MARCH 2018

Mount Kembla Public School kids are enjoying brand new playground equipment.

Our approach to community investment is about being a part of our local communities, understanding their needs and goals, and making lasting contributions to their quality of life.

When Mount Kembla Public School, near our Illawarra Metallurgical Coal Dendrobium operations, asked for help to install new play equipment, we were happy to lend a hand.

Our Dendrobium Community Enhancement Program provided funding for the new playground, which is used by all students from kindergarten to year six.

Mount Kembla Public School Principal, Raelene Redfern, said she was very thankful for the support.

“The new play area is a fantastic addition to our school environment. It is such a welcoming and fun place for students to play and learn,” Raelene said.

“We appreciate the support of the Dendrobium Community Enhancement Program and Committee for enabling us to make such a positive change to our school grounds.”

It’s feedback like this that drives our commitment to give back to our local communities.
