Matthew Daley has officially started at South32 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Matt joins South32 from Anglo American plc, where he was most recently Technical and Operations Director and a member of the executive leadership team. He brings with him extensive operational and leadership experience in the mining and metals industry, across many countries and commodities.
Over the coming months, Matt will visit our operations around the world and meet our people and stakeholders as he learns about South32. Matt will work closely with CEO Graham Kerr and the South32 leadership team, before stepping into the role of CEO when Graham Kerr steps down later this year.
During this transition period, Graham will continue to lead the business in the execution of our strategy, including the work to deliver a step change in our safety performance and the ongoing transformation of our portfolio.
