How we’re helping our local communities

Around the world, we’re supporting our local communities in response to COVID-19.

In Colombia, we’ve donated 2,000 hygiene packs and 20,000 information booklets to the local community surrounding our Cerro Matoso operation.

We’re working with local authorities and non-government partners helping to raise awareness of good hygiene practices in the community.

Vice President Cerro Matoso, Ricardo Gaviria, said: “Working with the Panzenú Foundation, we have held talks to educate on the importance of good hygiene and hand washing measures.”

To help ease pressure on the local hospital, we have set-up a clinic to provide health services to our communities and donated medical supplies including beds and face masks.

A special telephone line has been set up for the community to access health advice before coming to the clinic.
