South Africa Energy Coal has helped thousands of local students see a brighter future
By carrying out an extensive eye testing campaign in the local community, our operations at South Africa Energy Coal has helped thousands of local students see a brighter future.
Recently, our support has helped test around 3,180 children from six primary schools in Phola and Ogies, as well as providing more than 170 pairs of glasses to those in need.
We run the initiative in partnership with Vision4Change, a non-profit company that does important welfare and humanitarian work. With many households in the local area unable to afford prescription glasses, Vision4Change teams up with other foundations to provide the required medical support. We’re planning to extend the campaign to schools in the eMalahleni and Middelburg areas.
