Hats off to a waste saving idea

When we changed our company branding in 2016, South Africa Aluminium collected around 1500 plastic hard hats that had been replaced. But rather than put them in landfill, we recycled them to make planking, chairs and tables for distribution to our local communities.

It’s always rewarding when we can find ways to avoid putting unused items in landfill and at the same time deliver a benefit to the community
