Environmental Life Cycle Assessment

To deepen our understanding of the life cycle of aluminium products through the value chain, in FY19 we partnered with one of our customers to take part in an environmental life cycle assessment.

We examined the inputs and outputs of the production of our bauxite and alumina from Worsley Alumina.

By taking part, we hope to contribute to a greater understanding of the full life cycle of our bauxite and alumina and where it goes in the value chain once it is purchased by our customers and turned into aluminium product.

This will give our customers, and our business, the right data to better understand our product’s impact in the value chain.
