Diving in to sponsor iconic Rottnest Channel Swim

We’re proud to be the naming rights sponsor of the annual Rottnest Channel Swim, Australia’s largest open water event.

The 19.7km open water swim from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island attracts swimmers from around the world.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Graham Kerr, said he was delighted to support the South32 Rottnest Channel Swim for the 2020, 2021 and 2022 events.

“We believe we have a responsibility to get behind our communities, and more than this, we’re proud to do so,” he said.

“It’s very important that we play our part to create healthier, stronger and happier communities in the places where we have a presence.

“Many of our employees call Western Australia home, so we think it’s a natural fit to support one of Western Australia’s most iconic and celebrated sporting events, which reflects our strong focus on health and wellbeing.”
