At Worsley Alumina we’ve partnered with the Teach Learn Grow program
At Worsley Alumina, we’ve partnered with the Teach Learn Grow program to give one-on-one tutoring and mentoring at Boddington District High School in Western Australia.
Our community investment funding supports the program, whereby university students volunteer in schools for two weeks over the year. This helps bridge the education gap in rural and remote schools, particularly in numeracy and literacy.
In 2018, 34 primary school students and 12 high school students benefited from the program. The Teach Learn Grow volunteers also help out with school activities, such as sports coaching, umpiring and social events.
